Rare Material Division handles a variety of rare earth products such as oxides, metals, salts, fluorides, oxyfluorides, etc., including Y2O3, which was successfully mass-produced for the first time in Japan. We may be able to provide products with specifications other than those listed here, and also to provide orders in small quantities, so please feel free to contact us for more information.
Abrasive・Ta/Nb
The Rare Material Division handles rare metal products such as high-purity tantalum for SAW filters, cerium-based abrasives for glass polishing of liquid crystal panels and hard disks, and NANOBIXTM for polishing SiC semiconductors.
Oxides/Rare earth compounds
Rare Material Division offers a wide variety of rare earth oxides and rare earth compounds, including yttrium oxide, which was first mass-produced and refined in Japan. We propose the best products to meet the various requirements of our customers, including electronic materials, medical, and semiconductor applications.
Metal Products
Rare Material Division's metal products are manufactured under consistent quality control. They are used in a variety of industrial applications, including magnetic materials, magneto-optical recording materials, hydrogen storage materials and superconducting materials. We offer products in a wide range of shapes according to our customers’ needs and applications, such as blocks, chips, powders, foils and plates.
Rare earth salts/Ceramics
In addition to rare earth salts such as chlorides, nitrates, and acetates, Rare Material Division also produces compounds such as fluorides and oxyfluorides. The various rare earth salts are widely used in such things as ceramics and electronic materials. We are also able to offer products such as yttrium oxyfluoride, which draws growing interests in the semiconductor field, as well as optical materials and environmental resistant products to meet the needs of our customers.
