Rare Material Division began its history as a specialized manufacturer of yttrium oxide, and has built a system that can meet the various needs of customers while developing our own technologies based on our accumulated knowledge and skills. The following is an introduction of our manufacturing, analysis and quality assurance, and research and development activities.
Manufacturing
Rare earth elements have very similar chemical properties and had been difficult to separate. In the 1960s, however, separation and refinement techniques such as ion exchange and solvent extraction were developed. Rare Material Division established these separation techniques and began commercial production.
Rare earths have a wide range of applications, and we provide products with production conditions adjusted to achieve the purity and physical properties that meet the various requirements of our customers.Analysis and Quality Assurance
Under the ISO9001 quality management system, Rare Material Division only ships products that have passed strict raw material and process analyses, and which have passed final chemical and physical property analyses.
We also strive to improve analysis accuracy by adopting precision analysis methods and technologies specific to rare earths as needed.Research and Development
Rare Material Division provides various types of rare earth powders and compound powders by combining core technologies such as "particle size and composition control," "granulation," "sintering," and "high purification," in which we have accumulated a wealth of experience over many years of development and manufacturing of rare earth products.
We are also working on the development of new materials by actively promoting joint research with universities, partnerships with external companies, and other forms of co-creation to develop new materials.
