The Mitsui Kinzoku Group has created a network among offices and plants for processing recyclable materials. A large variety of metals are recovered within the Group, and we are making a significant contribution toward the recycling of resources.
Recyclable raw materials that include useful metals are collected by Mitsui Kinzoku Recycle Co., Ltd., acting as the initial contact point, and are then sent to Mitsui Kinzoku related facilities situated in other regions. These materials are used together with raw materials such as iron ore in the smelting and recycling processes and change their form to finished products. For any metals that cannot be rendered into products at the initial processing to which recyclable raw materials were sent, such metals are then sent as intermediate products to other appropriate processing facilities, through Mitsui Kinzoku Group's recycling network, and are made into final products.
