Fine-grained Products (High BET Products)

Fine-grained Products

NYC manufactures high-purity, fine-grained products with a large specific surface area. These products are suitable for use in ceramics, and are highly reactive as they consist of small primary particles, thus having a high-specific surface area.
Our standard lineup of yttrium oxide includes two types: one with a specific surface area of 10-13㎡/g and the other with a specific surface area of 20-25㎡/g.
Other oxides are also available in purities (TREO) ranging from 99.9 to 99.999%, as well as fine particles of 1 µm or less, so please feel free to contact us for more information.

Granule Products (Spherical)

Granule Products

Rare earth oxide granules are mainly used for CIP molding/sintered bodies and thermal spraying because of their high flowability and formability. In the case of yttria-based granule products in particular, we have various product grades such as yttrium oxide granules (Y2O3), yttrium aluminate granules (Y-Al-O), and yttrium oxyfluoride granules (Y-O-F) that meet customers' objectives.
Major applications include thermal spray materials and sintered materials for semiconductor manufacturing equipment that requires plasma resistance.

Examples of Composite Oxides

We can offer a variety of composite oxides to suit specific applications and meet the requirements of our customers. For example, composite oxides mixed with Si-based materials are used in the development of heat-resistant materials. We can also handle co-precipitates of rare earths, so please feel free to contact us for more information.

Examples of High Purity Oxides

High-purity Lanthanum Oxide(La2O3

This product is a high-purity lanthanum oxide in which impurity elements that show optical absorption are reduced to the utmost limit. In particular, Ce and Fe are less than one-tenth of standard product level, making this product suitable for high-end optical applications.

  • High-purity Lanthanum Oxide

High-purity Gadolinium Oxide (Gd2O3)

This is a high-purity gadolinium oxide product with ultra minimal radioactive impurities (U, Th etc.) and other rare earths (Eu etc.). It is suitable for special optical applications that are affected by noise due to radioactive elements, or for medical applications (scintillators, contrast media etc.) that have strict specifications for impurities. Powder properties can be controlled, and various salts are also available upon request.
